A Larrikin's Tale

Townsville is where it all started for Storm. After years of braiding mullets and fixing pluggers, Storm packed up his life and moved to Brisbane to pursue career in bartending in August of 2018. His new home? Cobbler Whisky bar.

Armed with nothing more than horrible chat and a can-do attitude, he worked on his bartending skills and entered competitions as a creative outlet. He found some success in local competitions, but not in the major competitions (such as The Perfect Blend). Some say it was a lack of experience, but he knew what the issue was. Simply put, he sucked.

He started to dedicate his time and energy to entering every competition that came his way, all while focusing on his development as a bartender. After a year of grinding, he achieved two major career milestones within a couple of weeks of each other. He successfully landed a job at The Baxter Inn (Sydney) and competed in his first national final.

In October 2019, Storm once again threw his life into the back of his little red car, this time making the trip from Brisbane to Sydney - forever moving down the East Coast in pursuit of excellence.

During his year-and-a-half of bartending, Storm has learnt a lot of lessons and focused on further developing his whisky and cocktail knowledge while making friends along the way. These friends have been crucial to his continued development.

This is his ceremony, the ceremony of Togekyo.
