Hakushu
Distiller's Reserve
Hakushu is found deep within the mountain forest terrain of Mt. Kaikomagatake. A lightly peated Japanese single malt resplendent with delicious bright herbal notes.

Created in 2014, the Hakushu Distiller's Reserve was released to showcase the unique flavour of Hakushu whisky without the stigma of an age statement.

It contains a blend of delicately peated malt, heavily peated malt and whisky that is aged up to 18 years in American oak, sitting at 43% ABV.

Tasting Notes:

Imagine laying in a luscious grassy field, on one side you have fresh pine leaves and on the other side thick bushels of spearmint dancing happily in the sunlight. You take a deep breath and notice the campfire smoke drifting lazily through your senses. Upon drinking you notice fresh green apples, pears and unbelievably more mint with a mention of yuzu citrus, teasing the palate. Ending with rich oak and a light brushing of smoke.
